So the staff will be taking a little road trip to Fort McMurray, Alberta. Thats right folks, Lily is headed north where deet is your best friend. We're going to be doing a mini outreach program. For some of you that don't know Fort McMurray is the place to go to get rich off the oil and mining that the land is so blessed with. It was not until recently that people actually started living there. Basically it is a broken community which needs some tlc :) and the word of God! That is our mission. To go, help and pray for a town that is extremely important to the Canadian culture.
I never thought I would leave this wonderful city and go into the heartland of Canada, but hey God works in mysterious ways eh??? haha! The last ten days we had a team from my (not homeland because they were not from Hawaii) current state of Washington!!! They were a camp from eastern washington who were doing a program called Compass. It was extremely wonderful to see these guys grow as they took on the different Urban Ministries located all over the city! Speaking of that heres the list of the ministries that I've been working with all summer!

It may not seem like a lot but I've been able to build relationships with individuals this summer. Each individual has taught me something new this summer which has brought me closer to God! God is my rock and the only thing that I want out of life is to grow closer to him! I feel a sense of peace now and I think I'm better equipped to continue my faith! Sure there have been trials but that won't keep me down! On a further note I've also learned a lot about friendship and mostly how important it is to encourage healthy relationship with others. These are just some of the things that God has me praying about! which I'm super excited to see being played out! :)
